INFINITI introduces new exhaust kits that are designed to take the car’s performance and the driver’s experience to the next level. Their brand-new Sport Exhaust kits are manufactured for use with the 2016-2017 Q50 sedans and the 2017 Q60 sports coupe. These custom-designed kits improve their experience by improving the auditory notes delivered by the vehicle. Using them also reduces the weight of the INFINITI vehicle.
Sports Exhaust Kits Overview
This is not the first time INFINITI has released specialized sports exhaust kits for its vehicles. Like the kits the automaker released in 2015 for the Q50 Hybrid and 3.7, these new kits are designed with T-304 stainless steel that is polished for both improved aesthetics and durability. Using the applicable kit will help driver shave about 16 pounds off their INFINITI Q50 or Q60 without the mufflers. If the Q50 Sports Exhaust kit with mufflers is used, the weight reduction is around nine pounds.
Kits Deliver What Drivers Want
According to the director of INFINITI Aftersales, Andrew Speaker, these new Sport Exhaust kits are the automaker’s way of delivering a more customized experience that many drivers crave. As Mr. Speaker noted, the INFINITI Q50 and Q60 already contain numerous elements that position them solidly as driver’s cars. He also acknowledged that some drivers want to take their driver experience to the next level. He promised that the Sport Exhaust kits will do so.
When the exhaust kits are installed, promised Mr. Speaker, drivers will be able to enjoy the more aggressive sound that many of them desire. When the reduced weight of the INFINITI Q50 and Q60 is added in, the entire driver’s experience is enhanced, making both the coupe and sport sedan even more fun and exhilarating to drive.
Easy Installation Gets Drivers Back on the Road Quickly
INFINITI designed the installation of these Sport Exhaust kits to be quick and easy. They can be bolted on directly using the locations of the factory exhaust hangers. Because the existing gaskets can be used for this installation, there are no other modifications that must be made.
Available Configurations
Drivers who own a 2017 INFINITI Q60 will be excited to know that all its configurations are able to take advantage of these kits. INFINITI Q50 owners of a 2016 or 2017 2.0t, 3.0t, Red Sport 400 and Hybrid models can also be retrofitted with these sport exhaust kits.
Where Can Consumers Find the New Sport Exhaust Kits?
INFINITI dealerships across the country have the Sport Exhaust kits without mufflers available for both the Q50 and the Q60. The suggested retail price for these kits is $589 plus installation. Currently, dealerships also sell an exhaust kit with mufflers for the Q50 for $681 as the suggested retail price. This price doesn’t include installation. A kit for the Q60 is expected to land at dealerships later in 2017.
