January 9, 2017, INFINITI lovers were treated to the new QX50 Concept, a midsize crossover, and the next evolution of the QX Sport Inspiration that came out in 2016. Its powerfully elegant design is that of a shorter QX60 but slightly bigger than the QX Sport Inspiration.
WIDE MUSCULAR STANCE
The QX50 Concept design features strong, muscular lines and a wide stance, and its versatility can meet the needs of even the most experienced drivers on the road. The official press release for the QX50 Concept states the new crossover will mark the first time INFINITI will roll out their variable-compression 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four. This engine promises excellent 27% better fuel economy and a high, 268 horsepower.
With a great looking exterior, you can expect that the interior of the INFINITI QX50 is going to be just as stylish, and made of premium materials. Highly glossed wood has been replaced with more modern applications, and with plenty of soft leather, comfort and style will be difficult to surpass.
A HINT AT THE FUTURE
While the driver is still expected to maintain the ultimate control over the vehicle, the QX50 has the technology to change and adapt to driving conditions, changing the compression ratio as necessary. This helps the driver, as the car will then deliver perfect levels of efficiency and performance. This is a small hint of what’s to come with autonomous driving technologies being developed by INFINITI.
